Prime Recreational Land to be Auctioned on March 2

(Vocus) February 17, 2010 -- Approximately 220± acres of recreational property in Shelby County, Mo., will be auctioned at a real estate auction on March 2 at the Quality Inn & Suites in Hannibal, Mo. The property, located just two hours north of St. Louis, will be auctioned through J. P. King Auction Company, the nation’s leading real estate auction marketing firm.

“This land it provides complete privacy that is great for hunting,” said Craig King, president and CEO of J. P. King Auction Co. “It’s really an ideal property because it combines the seclusion that hunters want with the convenience of nearby St. Louis.”

The property is currently being used for soybean farming and hunting land and is available for showing.

“It’s a unique hunting property because it’s at the end of a private road, so there’s only one way in or out,” Kelly Baxter, the property’s current owner, said. “And even though the layout is 220± acres, it hunts larger than that because it’s oblong, so it appears even larger.”

The auction will take place at the Quality Inn & Suites, 120 Lindsey Drive, Highway 36 in Hannibal, Mo., at 11 a.m. on March 2.

“I chose J. P. King to sell my property because, after meeting with several auction companies, I felt the most comfortable with the reputation of J. P. King,” Baxter said. “They’ve been in business for 95 years, and I was very comfortable and confident in their marketing and longstanding success.”
